As part of westendstudios 04, a dance performance took place on the street. A second performer, Juliet Willi, accompanied the dance with a handheld spotlight.
The boundaries between the performance and the private were fluid. The contact was direct; neither make-up nor costume kept the spectator at a distance.
Street traffic was ignored or integrated. The street, the pavement was the stage. The auditorium emerged of its own accord: Window peepers, passers-by and invited guests. We want to see more of that …
